Title: Business Casual. A shirt & tie from a still life project.

Hi.

We strive to capture the world as we see it while trying to find new ways to "see."

I once heard a quote from an unknown photographer, they said, "I like to photograph things just to see what they look like photographed." My philosophy is to create art with everything I photograph. Whether it is through color, composition, or subject matter, THAT is the fun part... Photography is not something you can perfect—but always strive to be better in. I think that is what I enjoy most about it. I can always get better. I always have something to do. I always have room to improve.

What's with the name?

So now I bet you are wondering what the word "uber" means and why I used it. If you're hip on the new slang terms of today's internet age, chances are you have a pretty good idea already. If not, here is a dictionary-esque desciption that will (hopefully) create a bit of enlightenment.

über (oo-ber)

Of German origin. Literal translation meaning "above."

Brought to mainstream culture in the early 80's by hardcore American punk band, The Dead Kennedys. They used the term in the anti Californian Government song; "California Uber Alles," which is a take off of the German motto "Deustchland Uber Alles," which translates to "Germany above all."

The word uber is now a part of modern slang meaning; the ultimate, above all, best.
